In 2007, Talbot was part of the creative team that produced the ballet Chroma for The Royal Ballet. The piece was choreographed by Wayne McGregor and performed to Talbot’s orchestral arrangements of music by the White Stripes.

Nettes kleines Projekt von Oskar Effe, der gerade Kommunikationsdesign in Mannheim studiert.

Der Name “11Kasten” geht auf die -ich nenne es mal- philosophische/theoretische Mathematik zurück, da die Zahl “11″ eher als zwei Ziffern zu lesen ist. Mit Kasten, sind soziale Schichten gemeint. Die Animation steht ganz im Sinne von “Gegensätze ziehen sich an”. Es geht um zwei “Schichten”, die untschiedlicher nicht sein könnten, aber trotzdem den weg zu einander finden. Bei der Bildgestaltung wollte ich einen traum-änlichen und fantastischen Look erzeugen.

Man kann die Arbeiten von Gregoria de Masi deshalb als Steampunk-Gemälde bezeichnen da aus den Metallröhren und Öffnungen der Holzplatten, auf die er malt, jede Menge Dampf zischt und pfeift.

“Empyrean” is a music video developed by Ganesh Rao and Jonny Greenwald at the Dept. of Visualization at Texas A&M University under the guidance of Professor Karen Hillier.

The objective was to create a visually intriguing cinematic experience, with stunning technicality and conceptual elements. Minimal and symbolic characters and sets were used to vaguely portray themes of ‘genesis’ with underlying elements of the Hindu mythology.

Musically, the piece has ambient and atmospheric soundscapes layered over powerful rhythmic motifs and voices. The piece has a pleasant surreal incline, with enough room left intentionally for subjective interpretation by the audience.

In schwarz und weiß gehaltene Szenen mit wabernden Tunneln, engen Räumen, unheimlichen Figuren, fortwährender Zerstörung und eine gruselige Geräuschkulisse bestimmen das apokalyptische METACHAOS von Alessandro Bavari. Großartig.

METACHAOS is a multidisciplinary audio-visual project, articulated in a short film, a set of photography and mix-technique paintings. The purpose of the project is to represent the most tragic aspects of the human nature and of its motion, such as war, madness, social change and hate.

Die herumflitzenden BrushBots aus Zahnbürsten sind nach wie vor die einfachsten Roboter zum Selberbauen und vor allem dazu geeignet wenn man mal ein Horde Kinder zu unterhalten hat.

MAKE bietet im Maker Shed Shop dafür inzwischen entsprechende Sets an, um die vibrierenden Mini-Roboter möglichst einfach zusammenzubauen. Die Bauanleitung im Video oben zeigt aber genau welche Teile man benötigt, so dass man sie sich auch problemlos in Deutschland besorgen kann.
